Privacy Policy
Effective November 4, 2026
The short version: Quirk has no accounts, shows no ads, and never sells data. Your results stay on your device (and in your own private iCloud, if you use it). Our server only receives what a feature needs to work: the topic you type or the result titles behind an AI reading, and the answers and scores of a “How well do you know me?” quiz you share. The app also sends anonymous usage statistics.
What stays on your device
Your quiz answers, results, saved quizzes and the people you've compared with are stored on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud they also sync through your own private iCloud database, which only you can read. Optional reminders are local notifications and never leave your device.
What our server receives
Only when you use an AI feature or open a shared quiz link: the quiz topic you type (please don't include personal information); when you ask for an AI reading (a personalized result, your Quirk Profile or a Duo report), the result titles and descriptions involved, the answers you picked, and a friend's self-chosen nickname, used only to write the reading and not stored; a random install identifier used solely for daily free-usage limits; a device attestation token proving the request comes from the genuine app; and standard technical logs such as IP address and request time.
Sharing
Result cards you share are created on your device. A challenge link carries only the quiz id, your result key and, if you set one, the nickname you chose. A “How well do you know me?” link carries the questions you picked and your answers, so friends can play it. Nothing else.
“How well do you know me?” scoreboard
When a friend finishes a “How well do you know me?” quiz you shared, the app, the App Clip or the web player sends our server the quiz (question numbers and your answers), the friend's guesses and score, and their nickname only if they typed one. That builds the live “Who knows you best” board. Anyone with the quiz link can see the board's nicknames and scores. Each play is stored under a random id made for that quiz, never with a device identifier or IP address. IP addresses are only hashed, and kept for at most two hours, to limit spam. Entries are deleted automatically after one year.
Usage statistics
To learn which features help, the app sends anonymous usage events, such as “quiz finished”, to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. Events carry a salted, hashed identifier made on your device, and no name, email, contacts or location. They aren't linked to you and are never used for advertising or tracking. The App Clip and the web player send none.
Purchases
Quirk Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Children
Quirk is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your choices
Delete the app to remove everything stored on your device. Scoreboard entries expire after one year; to remove one sooner, email us the quiz link. For any question or request, email contact@imaigination.art.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page and its effective date.
